Birds & Brushes combines birdwatching with creativity.

We'll begin with a gentle birdwatching walk before settling down to sketch the birds, plants, and landscapes we've discovered together.

This isn't an art class or a bird identification course: it's simply an opportunity to slow down, observe carefully, and enjoy creating in nature.

No drawing experience is needed.

    We bring people together to slow down, connect with nature, and learn through birdwatching and art in Barcelona and the surrounding areas.

    The same goes for sketching: no artistic experience is needed.

    Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia are home to hundreds of species, so every walk is a little different.

    Creative events include shared materials.

    If you have favourite supplies, you're welcome to bring them.

  • If the weather makes an event unsafe or unpleasant, we'll reschedule or cancel it and let everyone know in advance.

  • The contributions help cover the costs of running Here Aware Nature Club, including Meetup, website hosting, shared materials, and organising future events.

    Keeping contributions low helps make the community accessible while allowing it to continue growing.

  • Shared art materials such as paper, pencils, acrylic markers, colored pencils, and watercolours.
