I help people remember how to be here.
This is a practice of attention, to sound, to the body, and to the places we already inhabit.
Through listening, mindful walking, field notes, and stillness,
I offer quiet invitations to notice what is present, without judgement, and without the need to change anything.
You don’t have to go anywhere else.
You’re already here.
The Journey
Hi, I’m Joyce!
My approach is grounded and non-directive. I’m not interested in fixing, optimising, or escaping experience. Instead, I’m drawn to practices that help us stay with what is present, gently and honestly.
This work is informed by ongoing training in mindfulness meditation, sound-based awareness, and Reiki, and continues to evolve through practice.
Here, Aware grew from my own practice of mindfulness meditation, listening, and time spent noticing the subtle textures of everyday environments: sound, movement, place, and pause.
Training & Context
The work offered through Here, Aware is shaped by ongoing study as well as lived, everyday practice.
I am certified as a Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 practitioner through Kisetsu Reiki & Meditation School.
I am also currently a student in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification programme through Mindfulness Exercises.
These trainings inform the structure and care of the sessions I offer here, while the work itself continues to evolve through practice.
By joining the experiences offered through Here, Aware, you also support my ongoing practice and learning as a mindfulness meditation teacher-in-training and Reiki practitioner. Each session is part of a shared, lived practice that deepens through real encounters rather than formal instruction alone.
