Here Aware Nature Club runs free community activities, including Nature Sketching sessions and Birdwatching Walks. All activities are free to attend. There is a suggested voluntary community contribution (any amount, entirely your choice) which helps cover basic running costs such as the website, Meetup fees, and printed materials for activities.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the personal data necessary to organise activities and keep in touch with our community. This may include:

When you contact us or sign up for an activity:

  • Any information you share voluntarily in your message

  • Phone number (if provided, e.g. via WhatsApp, for coordinating attendance)

If you choose to make a voluntary community contribution:

  • Payment or transaction details, depending on the method you use: Squarespace/Stripe (online), Revolut, or Bizum

  • If you contribute in cash, we don't collect any payment data at all

  • We don't store your card, Revolut, or Bizum details ourselves; these are handled directly by the relevant payment provider

Here Aware Nature Club activities are intended for people aged 16 and over. However, children are welcome to attend Birdwatching Walks and other outdoor activities when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In these cases, the accompanying adult is fully responsible for the child throughout the activity, including their safety, behaviour, and wellbeing. Here Aware Nature Club does not assume any supervisory responsibility for children attending activities.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 independently of their parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian signs up or registers on behalf of a child, that adult's contact details are used for all communication. If you believe a child has independently provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
