Reiki Sessions for Deep Rest and Nervous System Reset

Gentle one-to-one sessions to help you slow down, relax, and reconnect with the present moment.

Who this is for

🌿 New to Reiki

You’re curious about Reiki and want to try it in a gentle, grounded way, without pressure, expectations, or prior experience. You’re open to resting, listening, and seeing how your body responds.

🌿 In need of rest

You’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, and you’re looking for a quiet, one-to-one space to slow down and reset. You value calm, consent, and simplicity.

🌿 Returning to practice

You’ve experienced Reiki before (with me or elsewhere) and are interested in ongoing sessions to support grounding, balance, or regular self-care at a pace that feels right for you.

Reiki sessions are a gentle way to slow down, rest deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

In a world that moves quickly, many of us rarely give our nervous system the space to truly settle. Reiki offers a quiet pause: a space where the body can relax, the mind can soften, and awareness can return to the present moment.

What is Reiki?

Reiki, as offered here, is based on Usui Reiki Ryōhō, the traditional Japanese system founded by Mikao Usui.

It is a gentle, hands-on (or distance) practice that supports relaxation, grounding, and nervous system regulation. Rather than trying to fix or change anything, Reiki offers conditions for the body and mind to rest and rebalance naturally.

Sessions are held as a contemplative practice, with emphasis on presence, listening, and consent. Touch is light and always optional, and much of the session is experienced in silence.

People experience Reiki in different ways. This may include deep relaxation, a sense of warmth or calm, emotional settling, or simply the experience of resting. There’s nothing you need to believe, visualise, or achieve — you’re welcome to receive the session in whatever way feels natural for you.

Reiki sessions offered here are not a substitute for medical or therapeutic care, and are intended as a complementary, supportive practice.

Reiki invites a space for rest, attention, and curiosity, but does not promise any specific outcome, quick relief, cure, or immediate transformation. Experiences vary widely from person to person, and the session is about being with whatever is present rather than achieving a goal.

Ways to Receive Reiki

Indoor Reiki Sessions

Private Reiki sessions are offered in a calm indoor space in central Barcelona.

These one-to-one sessions provide a quiet environment where you can fully relax without distractions. They are ideal if you are feeling overwhelmed, mentally tired, or simply in need of a moment to reset.

Each session lasts about 60 minutes and includes a short check-in before we begin.

No previous experience with Reiki or meditation is needed.

Nature Reiki (Outdoors)

Occasionally, I also offer Reiki sessions outdoors in nature when the weather allows.

These sessions combine Reiki with the calming presence of parks and green spaces around Barcelona. Being outdoors can deepen the sense of grounding and connection to the present moment.

Outdoor sessions are announced through events or appointments and may not be available year-round.

What to expect

My approach to Reiki is simple and grounded. I hold a calm and supportive space while you rest comfortably, allowing the body and mind to unwind naturally.

Many people describe Reiki as feeling like a nervous system reset, a moment of deep rest, and a return to presence.

Whether received in person or at a distance, sessions are gentle, non-directive, and held with care.

Each session follows a simple structure:

  • Arriving & check-in
A brief conversation to arrive, share how you’re feeling, and ask any questions before the session begins.

  • Reiki practice
The session itself is held in stillness. You’re invited to sit or lie down comfortably and rest, noticing whatever arises: sensations, thoughts, emotions, or simply the experience of resting.

  • Closing & reflection
Optional space to share reflections or feedback at the end of the session.

There’s no need to prepare or do anything special. You’re welcome to come just as you are.

For in-person sessions, Reiki is offered indoors or outdoors in a calm, natural setting.

For distance sessions, you can join from anywhere, as long as you have a quiet space where you can rest comfortably.

In-person sessions take place outdoors, either sitting or lying down on a mat, surrounded by nature or indoors, in a calm indoor space in Barcelona.

I’ll provide:

  • A mat (outdoors) or therapy bed (indoors) for lying down

  • A light cover or blanket

  • Headphones and gentle music

You’re welcome to bring your own mat, cushion, or playlist if that helps you feel more comfortable.

About Joyce

Hi, I’m Joyce.

My approach to Reiki is grounded, gentle, and non-directive. I’m not interested in fixing, optimising, or trying to make anything happen. Instead, I offer a calm, attentive space where you can stay with what’s present — at your own pace.

My work is informed by ongoing training in mindfulness meditation, sound-based awareness, and Reiki, and continues to evolve through lived, everyday practice. Sessions are held with care, clarity, and consent, with an emphasis on safety, simplicity, and listening.

I’m a certified Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 practitioner through Kisetsu Reiki & Meditation School, and I’m currently training as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Mindfulness Exercises.

By joining a Reiki session here, you’re entering a shared practice space, one shaped by training, presence, and real human encounters, rather than rigid techniques or expectations.
