🐦 Birdsong Mindfulness Walks
Slow, nature-based mindfulness in Barcelona
Birdsong Mindfulness Walks are slow, mostly silent walks guided by birdsong, breath, and gentle presence 🌿
An invitation to step out of the rush and reconnect with your body, your senses, and the natural world.
Just walking, listening, and being here.
🌱 Who it’s for
These walks are for you if:
you’re feeling burnt out or overstimulated
you want a reflective pause before returning to work
you’re curious about mindfulness without a formal setting
you enjoy nature and slow experiences
No prior mindfulness or Reiki experience needed.
All ages and genders welcome.
🌳 Why birdsong?
I love birds. As a hobby, I’m a birder — I enjoy exploring, observing, photographing birds, and making field recordings of nature sounds 🐦
Birdsong is already happening — we don’t need to create anything. Listening to natural sounds helps the nervous system settle and gently brings attention back to the present moment.
Nature becomes the guide.
🚶♀️ What the walk is like
Total time: approx. 60 minutes
Pace: slow and gentle
Experience level: no prior mindfulness or Reiki experience needed
Gathering at the Meeting Point: We’ll begin by meeting at the agreed location and taking a few moments to arrive together.
Walking to the Starting Space: From the meeting point, we’ll walk together toward an open, quieter space where the session will officially begin.
Introduction & Grounding: Once we arrive, I’ll offer a brief talk introducing mindfulness and the intention for the walk, including how we’ll use birdsong and natural sounds as anchors for awareness. This will be followed by a short, guided grounding practice to help us settle into the body and open the senses before walking mindfully.
Mindful Walking: We’ll walk slowly and quietly through the area, with occasional gentle prompts offered along the way. At times, we may pause briefly to listen, sense, or simply be still. You’re invited to walk at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Stillness & Optional Reiki: After around 20–30 minutes of mindful walking, we’ll pause in a natural spot for a few minutes of stillness. You’re welcome to sit down or remain standing, whatever feels right for you.
At this point, I’ll offer a short Reiki session by gently placing my hands on you. This is completely optional — if you prefer not to receive Reiki, that’s absolutely fine. You can simply let me know beforehand, or choose to rest quietly during this time.
Closing: We’ll close the session together and gently transition back. If you feel you’d like to extend the Reiki session after the walk, you’re very welcome to let me know.
You’re always welcome to walk at your own pace.
Please plan to arrive a little early to settle in comfortably and respect everyone’s time. If you think you’ll be late, please get in touch with me at least 15 minutes in advance, and I’ll share a live location so you can find us easily.
✨ Reiki & stillness
I hold a gentle Reiki presence throughout the walk — a subtle, supportive practice for relaxation and grounding.
Toward the end, we pause for stillness, and I offer an optional short Reiki session by gently placing my hands on you.
This is always by consent — resting quietly is just as welcome.
🗣 Language
Guided talks and meditations are currently offered in English.
I’m learning Spanish and Catalan, and I hope to offer guided practices in those languages in the future.
🌧 What if it rains?
Sometimes rain can be part of the experience — quiet, grounding, and even a little magical.
If it rains, the walk will usually still go ahead, and we’ll choose a route with mostly concrete paths rather than muddy trails (often around Jardins de Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer).
However, if there is heavy rain, or a high alert for strong winds or storms, the walk will be cancelled for safety reasons.
If you’d rather not walk in the rain or with an umbrella, that’s completely understandable. In that case, please cancel your RSVP so someone who enjoys walking in the rain can take the spot.
💛 Why I offer this
These walks help me stay accountable to my own mindfulness and nature-based practice, and they’re my way of giving back — to people, community, and the spaces that support us.
If you join a walk or share this with others, you’re supporting me in your own way, and I’m deeply grateful.
